October 12, 2003
At some point between 3.30pm and 4.30pm, the meeting began.
Danny, Yuhan, and Bernie have returned from the TBP Annual Convention,
held in DomeTown Detroit, with fresh news from Nationals.
During the Convetion, a motion was passed that included formal
provisions for improving the ability to advise chapters more effectively.
Other issues discussed included electee duties and expenses for
non-voting delegates.
Someone's hand was also removed -- but not his votes -- however it was
the wrong hand.
There will continue to be activities for Collegiate Chapter Outreach.
Bernie is charged with leading the effort to provide more alumni
panels to the nearby chapters, similar to the one done for CA Alpha.
We will also continue to invite the various chapters to activities we
organise.
Upcoming activities include the Barbecue (more details to come) and
the Second Harvest Food Bank.
Joe reported that we currently have $265 in the bank. There it will
remain, until called for by a suitable chapter activity.
Tony will continue to get our webpage up.
He will enlist Carl's help.
Information will include short biographies of members, so get those
memoirs you've been squirrelling away ready.
In addition, we want to post information for the barbecue. So Tony and
Carl, get a quick one up quick.
At this point I came in.
Now, the BBQ.
As the national alumni list is unavailable, we'll use our own alumni
list to spread the word. The collegiate chapters will be invited as well.
The amount of food to be gotten will be in direct proportion to the
number or respondents in the affirmative.
We need help getting and carrying food, as well as "choping" the pit.
Yuhan is point man on this, will figure out budget and food estimates,
and the plan for the day. He'll send out a backup plan if his business
trip kicks in.
Oh yes, the BBQ is on October 26th.
So recap:
Yuhan to ponder BBQ details,
will tell Tony who will post it up,
such posting with Carl's help on the temp webpage,
and Yuhan will devise the backup.
That is all.
Next meeting tentatively on December 7th, 2002. A Saturday.
Respectfully Submitted,
Gregory Chew
